In The Blink Of An Eye
As a child, I hated poetry, with passion. I couldn't see the point and being asked at school what was in the mind of the poet??????
However, I do remember writing one poem when I was young, that ended up published in the local newspaper. It was about Winter turning into Spring. It depicted it as a battle between two people, fighting to see which one would win.
Life can be very much like that. Winter, our lives, can be very cold, dark and dangerous. Many times we can feel as though we would like to be able to hibernate as some animals do until the bad times are over and we can see the good times shining through. Sadly, we are not like that and we have to ride the bad times; see them through.
One thing we can be sure of is that Spring always triumphs over Winter no matter how harsh the Winter is. The colours and light will always come through the darkness.
No matter what you are going through, or how long it seems to be taking, when you look back, it will have been "The Blink Of An Eye".
