Can Jesus Heal?

Yes! The end. It's obviously not the end and the question needs more than a straight forward yes or no answer.

Yesterday, my friend and I attended a church meeting held in a school hall. It was pure worship and prophecy. No sermon, no liturgy, simply time spent worshipping God in song. A-MA-ZING! So my kind of thing. I love music and find that it is through music that I find God, peace and refreshment.

I made a cross-stitch many years ago, which says;

"God gave us music that we may pray without words."

This certainly is true for me. I became lost so much in the moment, that I was totally unaware of everything else going on around me.

Towards the end, words of encouragement and prophecy were given for some and the leader got up and said that if anyone wanted to have healing, for them to stand. Those who remained seated were then asked to go and chat to those standing, find out what they wanted healing for, pray for them, and then ask them if anything had changed for them.

God is able to do anything for anyone, if we are open, believe and hold the Son in our heart. I prayed for a lady who was waiting for an operation and had been in a lot of pain for a long time. I prayed for her and then asked her how she was. The lady had a lovely smile on her face and told me that she was pain free. She went to the front of the meeting and shared it with everyone.

God has given some wonderful, compassionate, caring, loving people the knowledge, and ablility to medically heal us. I have certainly been on the receiving end of their care on many occasions, and I thank God for them from the bottom of my heart. I can never begin to repay them and ALWAYS stand up for our National Health.

Let me get two things very straight here. Firstly, we cannot be without our medical professional. God has given those people the gifts and hearts they need to enable medical healing and care.

Secondly, I did not heal this lady. Not one of us of us has the super-human, divine ability to heal. I was merely willing to be used as a channel and step out in faith, and pray.

I don't know whether or not the lady I prayed for, will still need an operation, maybe she will, or maybe she won't, but I do know three things, that she was pain free when she left the meeting yesterday, I will never know the outcome, and yesterday was a great encouragement all around.

Jesus can and does heal. Sometimes through a miracle, and other times through our wonderful medical team. Either way, the answer is yes He does.
