The Heart. The Final Part

Fruit

So today is the final part on this "Heart Blogs" series. I want to begin where I left yesterday. What we fill our hearts with is what our lives are filled with.

I said that if you fill your hearts with bad and negative things, so too will your life be filled with those things

.

On the other hand, if your heart is full of good things such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, then that is what your life will be filled with. These things are found in Galatians chapter five, verses 22 to 23. You can look this up at BibleGateway.com

Jesus is Love and He offers us a Peace that passes beyond understanding. He doesn't promise that if we turn to HIm that our lives will continue perfectly and we will never have another bad issue to deal with, but we will have a Peace that cannot be explained.

I know from experiences in my life, that I found I had a strength to deal with them that I couldn't explain. The only explanation I have is that God was with me.

Why didn't God save me from them? I have asked myself that so many times, believe me. I honestly don't have the answer.

What I do know, however, is that as someone with freewill, I can choose to live my life my way. Sometimes that might mean that I hurt someone, though that's not something I would choose to do intentially. As we ALL have freewill, we ALL choose what we want to do with our lives.

No matter what goes on in my life, I choose to be a disciple of Jesus and try to live my life as He commanded, to God with all my heart, all my mind and all my soul; try to love others and treat them as I would like to be treated; and spread the Good News of Jesus and eternal life.

If you don't want to or cannot believe in Jesus at the moment, the things you fill your heart with still count.
